BlueLine Pro, Inc. was founded in 2016. We are based out of Santa Rosa, Ca. and are available to take on assignments in the greater California Bay Area. Senior Investigator Alan Rosenthal brings 21 years of law enforcement experience to the area of private investigations. Our staff includes individuals with backgrounds from the FBI, local law enforcement, military, and security expertise. We provide many services and utilize the latest and up to date databases and equipment

to complete your investigation quickly and thoroughly. In addition to investigations, we offer vulnerability  assessments for educational facilities and corporate businesses. This includes on-site training for employees and staff as well as armed guards at specific locations.  Violence and unprovoked attacks on innocent people are becoming more prevalent. This demonstrates that there is a need for enhanced security and proactive steps to keep public and private establishments safe.

Alan Rosenthal

Founder \ CEO

Alan Rosenthal is currently a licensed Private Investigator and works in executive and dignitary protection, workplace threat assessment, and corporate security. Alan worked as a police officer for 21 years. He began his career with the Boulder Police Department where he held positions as a Patrol Officer, Field Training Officer, and Crime Scene Investigator. After 8 years, Alan transferred to the Santa Rosa Police Department.

In addition to his patrol duties, Alan was a certified Defensive Tactics Instructor where he conducted hand to hand combat training for fellow officers. Developing lesson plans and providing classroom training was a major aspect of being a DT Instructor. Alan also completed specialized training in Active Shooter Incidents and then transferred these lessons by teaching both in the classroom and in real life scenarios.

As an Instructor at the Santa Rosa Criminal Justice Training Center, Alan provided classroom instruction for new recruits as well as physical fitness training for future peace officers. He also spent four years as a School Resource Officer where he became proficient with school safety and security before retiring in 2016. Alan has investigative experience in all aspects of Criminal Law with specialties in Juvenile Law, Family Law, Child Abuse and Neglect, and drug offenses.

Crisis Negotiator

Michael has over 18 years experience in Crisis Negotiations and 11 years at the San Rafael Police Department as a member of the Hostage Negotiations Team (HNT) where he worked as an officer and later transferred to the Santa Rosa Police Department in 1994. Michael worked his way up from the patrol division to Field Training Officer (FTO). As an FTO, Michael was responsible for the training of newly hired police officers.

After approximately six years of patrol duties, Michael was selected as a detective with the Property Crimes Unit, where he specialized in elder financial crimes and embezzlement. In 2007, Michael was promoted to the rank of sergeant and later was assigned to supervise the Domestic Violence/Sexual Assault Unit (DVSA). Upon promotion to the rank of sergeant, Michael supervised HNT for 7 years.

Michael has trained members of the Santa Rosa Police Department in crisis management, presented incident debriefs to the California Association of Hostage Negotiators and the Texas Association of Hostage Negotiators, and has well over 1000 hours of training related to crisis negotiations.

Tom LaFreniere

Tom LaFreniere


Tom LaFreniere is the Founder and CEO of Dynasec International. His background includes 30 years of federal law enforcement experience, 4 years as a Marine Corps officer, and 2 years as a Mechanical Engineer.

As Special Agent and Supervisory Special Agent for the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the Naval Criminal Investigative Service, he conducted and supervised investigations involving government fraud, money laundering, kidnapping, fugitives, violent gangs, organized crime, narcotics trafficking, domestic terrorism and international terrorism.

Mr. LaFreniere was the Primary Crisis Management Coordinator for the San Francisco Division of the FBI. He wrote the Crisis Response Plan, designed the Emergency Operation Center and Mobile Tactical Operation Center, and staffed and trained the Crisis Management Team.

Jerry Bull

Jerry Bull


Jerry Bull retired with 20 years law enforcement experience in Vallejo, Ca. In additional to patrol duties, he spent 8 years as a school resource officer assigned on campus to various schools in the district.

Jerry taught DARE to the elementary schools and was also assigned as a gang enforcement officer and member of the Solano County Gang Task Force. In addition to these duties, he coordinated Project Last Chance, which was a partnership with the Vacaville prison. In this program troubled youth were taken to the prison to learn about prison life and to be counseled by inmates.

From 1995 to 2017, he taught a free martial arts program to the youth of Vallejo and the surrounding communities.
